Everything you might want to know about how Elyvia works

We’ve put together answers to the most common questions about Elyvia so you can feel confident and informed before getting started.

No. Elyvia doesn’t provide care services. We offer companionship only — that means no medical help, no washing or dressing, and no medication support. Just time well spent with someone who wants to be there.
We’re here for older adults who aren’t ready for formal care — but who aren’t thriving alone. If your mum or dad could use someone to talk to, spend time with, or share their interests, that’s where we come in.
Absolutely. Some of our companions offer evening visits, trips to the theatre, café outings or walks. Just let us know what your loved one enjoys — we’ll do our best to match them with someone who shares that energy.
Yes — most families choose weekly or fortnightly visits. Everything’s flexible, so you can change times, pause, or adjust whenever needed.

Still unsure? Let’s talk it through.

We’re happy to answer questions, listen to your concerns, or help you decide if this is the right fit.
Yes. Every Elyvia companion is fully vetted and DBS-checked. We also personally interview them and only work with people we’d feel confident sending to our own family.
That’s normal. Many clients start with a quiet visit — just a simple chat and cup of tea. No pressure to continue if it doesn’t feel right.
Not at all. Start with a visit or two. No contracts. No obligations.
